The Clinton Dynasty Rewrites History

Bernie Sanders has been called a lot of things by the Hillary Clinton campaign and its assorted hench-people. But "king"? That's a new one, to say the least.

New and unexpected, considering the source: Chelsea Clinton, only child of the Clinton dynasty - which, besides the Bushes, is as close to a political royal family as exists in the US today.

For decades, the Clintons have epitomized political influence, money and power - which they defend and extend by any and all means, including unprincipled attacks on their opponents.

And now, Chelsea Clinton is taking her turn at the family business.

Recently, Sanders - the self-described democratic socialist whose campaign for the Democratic Party presidential nomination is upsetting the Clinton apple cart - referenced the horrific incarceration rates in the US, the worst in the world, during campaign speeches.

Sanders promises that if he is elected president, by the end of his first term in 2020, he will make sure that the US no longer has the highest number of its citizens languishing behind bars.

That stance won him the support of Erica Garner, daughter of Eric Garner, who was choked to death by a New York City police officer for the "crime" of selling loose cigarettes. Her powerful endorsement of Sanders spread across the Internet last week.

You might think the Clinton team would leave alone a decent sentiment like not wanting to lead the world in incarceration, however vague Sanders was about how he would accomplish this.

But you'd be wrong. Chelsea Clinton had this to say about Sanders' aspiration to slow the epidemic of mass incarceration: "We are not electing a king, we are electing a president."

Arguing that she was "worried" about Sanders' plan, Clinton said, "We need someone who understands what they have to do in the job [as president] but also in partnership with Congress, governors and mayors. My mother understands how the government works."

Bernie CHAINED to two black women protesting as the police carry them off. Someone had a snoozing smiley. It ASTOUNDS me that someone would just toss of someone's authentic life like that. Bill Clinton always has to be the prettiest girl in the room as my grandma always said about arrogant clueless buffoons.

Yep. And, in time-honored establishment fashion, screeching that Bernie and his supporters are running a dirty campaign - because they are telling the truth. Facts are such troublesome things. To some.

Her campaign so far, IMO and all that - lies, deflection, and misdirection. Entitlement. Money. Funny how the polls are meaningless when they favor Bernie, but a year ago, and before that, we were being exhorted to support Hillary because of POLLS.
Her campaign roll-out seemed to consist solely of polls, the smug assertion that certain demographics were totally in the bag for her, and lists of "stuff Hillary has said at one time or another. Please don't contrast and compare her with, um, her own self."

There are 2.2 million in prison, only 200,000 are in federal prison. Even if Bernie released every one there would be 2 million still incarcerated, which is a far cry from his promise of reducing prison population by 1/2 during his first term.

Like marijuana laws and preventing people from going to jail for debt. (,yeah they do) stop drug and alcohol testing everyone on probation when their crime had nothing to do with either. Lots of ways to stop splitting up families for non violent crime.

It would allow for testing for medical marijuana too. There is only one reason not too-drug companies don't want it coz they can't stop u from growing your own. Alcohol and tobacco don't want it either. Didn't Bernie just try to get something passed on that?

I know a guy in local jail. Outside of all of the probation and other fees he will pay, they took his underwear and socks and made him buy theirs. They charge much higher than prison does. Had to pay to see a Dr. Have to use their phone system which is very costly and the jail gets a profit from it to call and keep contact with his family. Can only send books and magazines from their preferred publisher which is high priced and again, the jail gets a kickback from that too. Plus I am sure he has a daily incarceration fee. In the end he will sit there for 9 months leaving his family in poverty, and will come out in debt for a non violent crime. There's a lot of money to be made off of the poor.

After serving 8 years as Mayor of Burlington, 16 years in the United States House of Representatives, 10 years in the United States Senate;

where he served on many committees Representing the Democratic party such as the:

Committee on the Budget (Ranking Member)
Committee on Environment and Public Works
Subcommittee on Clean Air and Nuclear Safety
Subcommittee on Green Jobs and the New Economy
Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure
Committee on Energy and Natural Resources
Subcommittee on Energy
Subcommittee on National Parks
Subcommittee on Water and Power
Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions
Subcommittee on Children and Families
Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging (Ranking Member)
Committee on Veterans' Affairs (chairman)

I can assure you, my poor uninformed young woman that after all those years as an elected official.

"He is someone who understands what one has to do in the job in partnership with Congress, governors and mayors."

I dare say more so than your Mommy on such matters with her limited experience as a first lady Which is not an elected or appointed position with no actual government responsibilities other than ceremonial ones, a one and a half term Senator in a State not her own that she actually knew little about before being groomed for the position, and a one term appointment as The Secretary of state.

Of course, because she is your Mommy you believe she is infallible and all knowing regarding all things (how sincerely sweet) yet no excuse to show such lack of knowledge regarding what her opponent, with far more experience may or may not know regarding matters you are unqualified to judge.

It is very loyal of you as a daughter that you will do anything for your mom including lying about plans (that her opponent has never had) to abolish Medical care for everyone in the US.

For such loyalty at least, I commend you, but your lack of knowledge concerning Senator Sanders I'm afraid disallows me the option of taking you seriously regarding anything you may say about his experience and understanding of American politics where he has had a long and honorable tenure.

I DO wish you and your beautiful family all the best, even if unlike most of us you have always had the extreme wealth that assures that you DO have all the best.

Quite frankly, the hardest part was to keep editing the text to correct typing errors as my keyboard barely works, sticks on at least half the keys and is soon I fear to be a dead keyboard (it really makes typing and therefore posting a long and arduous experience)

Your Op is an important one, all things considered, in an election involving the Clintons and all their "monkeyshines" and worthy of a response.
