Their party is divided, and instead of capitalizing on it we decide to try and nominate someone they have spent decades hating.

BRILLIANT!!!

Especially Rubio who called him a con man. Rubio would support a con man?

It's awesome how Hillary can be at one and the same time indistinguishable from republicans and yet so repugnant to them that they would choose a democratic socialist over her... amazing. I wonder what she has that makes that possible... or doesn't have... maybe something about the junk the clowns were discussing on stage tonight.

...in the platform sense. Many may have sided with team "R" over social issues or what have you, and that's starting to fade.

Most voters in general this year are just vehemently anti-establishment. That is the underlyng sentiment.

5. I Feel That The Moderators Asked That Question To Give Those Other Than Trump - Cover.....

The Repugs are pushing for a brokered convention so they can dump Trump. Asking this question tonight just gives them cover when the nominee gets picked in the back rooms and it is not Trump. Each of them - Rubio, Cruz and Kasich - can honestly say they would support the nominee of the Party - because they know it won't be Trump. When the brokering happens and another person other than Trump gets the nod - they can say they are just keeping their pledge and are supporting that person. It was not their fault that because of the brokering - someone other than Trump became the nominee.

On the other hand - they then asked Trump if he support the nominee - and he had to say that he would. One - because with his ego - he believes it will be him. And Two - after the others said they would support the nominee - the pressure was on him to say he would as well.

I'm waiting, however, if it does come down to a brokered convention and they deny Trump - after he led in the delegate count and in The People's eyes - I can't believe that Trump would take that without a fight or going off on his own on a third party bid.

I can see a situation where Trump has 1100 delegates by the time the convention comes around, Rubio has 475, Cruz has 914. Rubio and Cruz, therefore, would have a combined total enough to elect someone for the Presidency. They agree that Cruz gets to be President and Rubio gets to be Vice President. Pow, Trump already vowed not to run independent. And they're following the rules and working within the confines of the convention, etc.

O'Reilly asked Trump after the debate if he was really going to respect it if it became a brokered thing and Trump waffled. O'Reilly even said "I know you." And Trump couldn't answer the question. The RNC is in July, but the lions share of ballot registration deadlines are in August or September. Trump would go apeshit and get on as many ballots as he could as an independent (sore loser laws don't apply to Presidential races, contrary to popular myth, his main impediment is ballot access).

But I don't think it'll happen, Trump has way too popular of a nutty base not to sweep this thing, imo.

edit: oh and the funniest scenario, would be Trump getting Rubio to give him the several hundred delegates he needs and he'll let him be VP to run as President in 2024. And I'm ... not sure Rubio would be against that.
