How come it's "I'm with Her" instead of "She's with Us" -- food for thought

It's as though Americans are somehow getting inside an exclusive club by being 'with her' vs. she is a supporter of everyday Americans, and therefore 'with us'.

Some may say what difference does it make? and I would say it makes all the difference in the WORLD!
