Of the perils of NAFTA (go watch the debate footage). George Bush and Clinton laughed at him.

But look who was right.... Ross Perot.

But I get your point and that is in 1992, according to you, you had to be DLC or Republican to get elected.

But the question remains if Bill Clinton had Bernie Sanders' priorities would we be better off now or no?

I think this a more deep question than winning or losing one election.

You can win a lot of battles but still lose the war and for 35 years we have been losing the war.

Poison water in Flint is proof of that.

And that happened more because Perot bashed him day in and day out. Not to mention, GHWB was hurt by the economy and Iran/Contra. I would imagine that Sanders might have made more of an issue of Iran/Contra than the Arkansas governor. (Actually Bernie would have only been mayor of Burlington at that point so it requires a time shift to answer.)

I think any Democrat would have won that year with Bush at 39 and Perot getting weirder by the minute.

With his brains and charisma, he could have been another FDR if he had Bernie priorities

But he sold his soul and became a corporate lackey and the country is much the worse for it

Better trade policies than NAFTA and all that came after it.

Keep in mind, every time we talk about raising corporate tax rates the (R)s respond that companies will move overseas if we do. Why? Because of the f#@ked up trade agreements we have.

Then there are the obvious problems with the crime bill and the decades of injustice inflicted upon a portion of this nation's citizens because of it.

We can argue about DADT, but Bernie was for abolishing ALL laws based on sexuality since the early 70s. The debate took place tonight in a state that still allows someone to be fired for being gay. Funny how that never came up.
