Did anybody notice Hillary use the expression "debt free tuition"

in the discussion about public schools that kind of bled into college education? Did I hear that right? If so, what is she talking about? I saw somebody post the other day that Bill claimed that Hillary supported free tuition but in the prior debates she was against it. Has she changed her position on this issue to match Bernie?

edu sec's my least favorite of PrezO's appointments. He should have, and a future Potus should select Linda Darling Hammond.

Among other things, she was education advisor to Barack Obama's presidential campaign [1][2] and was reportedly among candidates for United States Secretary of Education in the Obama administration. This gave me hope. VERY disappointed in what's his name. Here's her wiki cv: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Darling-Hammond

I'd like to know what she is talking about and if the press is going to ask her for any specifics. Her response in an earlier debate that she was only against free college tuition was because rich people shouldn't benefit from that.

My guess is that all the money Bill Clinton has pocketed from the "for profit education" industry might have something to do with Hillary's waffling on this issue. Bill pulled in $16 million for 5 years with a company called Laureate. Tuition free public universities would go a long way toward killing what is in large part a sleazy industry that is loved and supported by Wall Street.

Mon Mar 7, 2016, 01:54 AM

So what is Hillary's position?
1. No free college tuition for anybody because rich people don't deserve to benefit from it (from a previous debate)
2. Free college tuition (as Bill claimed)
3. Debt free tuition, whatever that is (perhaps the O'Malley position)

Is anybody in the press going to notice these contradictions and ask Hillary a question about it, if she every decides to take questions from the press? Or maybe Bernie could ask for clarification in the debate on Miami this Wednesday night.

Money for tuition doesn't come out of the sky on a flaming pie. You're either wealthy and you pay for it or you borrow money.
