Sanders replied that if a gun was legally purchased, he disagreed with holding the gun manufacturer liable.

The legislation Bernie (sensibly) voted for doesn't exempt negligence. It's just that it's not "negligence" on the part of the gun manufacturer when, after passing through at least two sets of other hands (distributor, gun dealer), some shithead commits a crime with it.

The Clintonite spin on this is fucking hilarious, though...
