The question now is this: Can an honest politician beat a dishonest one?

In this day and age when the forces of the subjective MSM and the forces of social media and the forces of Atwater-Rove playbooks are all available...

Can an honest politician who will not stoop to tricks and dodges and cleverly calculated gotcha "pieces" inserted into remarks win over one who does?

What say you?

But it will take a collective effort from that politician's supporters to get the word out whenever the other person lies. These days the press is more interested in a quick attention grabbing headline than they are about the truth behind a story, so we have to be on our toes in getting the truth out there.

In a Presidential race it's seems to favor the dishonest people.

Jimmy Carter as very honest, as far as I know and he was elected.

Bernie was elected to the Senate and I trust his integrity.

But, I don't know whether their opponents were honest or not.

Good question though.

But, the point is that Obama defeated Hillary and I believe Sanders can too.

I was an early campaigner for Obama, and this year feels very much like 2008. Difference is that Obama had the Black vote that was able to break for him as a game-changer. Sanders needs his game changer, and I'm not sure what that is. But I think one exists, so long as he stays in.

It can be extremely difficult, yet it can be accomplished .....if enough people exercise their constitutional rights and responsibilities by voting.

Thanks for the thread, grasswire.
