in another thread, just saw this 'defense' of Third Way/DNC/old-DLC political achievements:

"It will be about the extremist who accomplish NOTHING versus the actual Dems who make progress. You're kidding yourself if you believe otherwise."

yeah, the 'extremist(s) in the Democratic Party, who have been banished to the outskirts of Party power, are the geniuses who engineered the tremendous congressional gains of 2010 and 2014...

it may not be this election, but the day is coming when the Third Way people will find themselves out of the Democratic Party (if they don't destroy it on their way down) and enjoying their RepublicanLite™ party...

I've said it often...if I wanted to vote for Republicans I would be a Republican....and the (D) behind the names doesn't get a pass....

BUT.....no matter how nasty I thought they were I would never guess people who call themselves feminist would ever support someone who would restrict abortion. I really don't get it. I spent 30+ years voting against my own white, male interests because I thought it better for the country to support POC and Women's rights. Now older woman and POC are the ones voting against abortion and FOR fracking my kids water.

Strange days. This party was so easily cracked along race, gender, and age lines that the next time someone tells me, "Diversity is our strength", I'm gonna vomit. If we can't cut this DLC cancer out of the party then lets just send it home to spend its last few months with its family.
