Uh Oh! Senators & Hillary supporters going after Hillary on her false statement on auto bailout vote

Democratic Senators Take Issue With Hillary Clinton’s Portrayal Of Bailout Vote

Heading into crucial primaries in auto industry states such as Michigan and Ohio, Hillary Clinton in recent days has argued that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 2009 vote to block the release of Wall Street bailout money proves he “was against the auto bailout” and that he voted “against the money that ended up saving the auto industry.” But other Democratic lawmakers who voted the same way as Sanders are challenging Clinton’s portrayal of that vote.

In interviews with International Business Times, two former Democratic senators took issue with the notion promoted by the former secretary of state that their vote to block Wall Street bailout money somehow put them at odds with the auto industry. Another Democratic senator’s office told IBT that the vote was about reining in the financial industry — not about opposing help for autoworkers.

However, former North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan told IBT that the vote in question “was viewed by most as here’s what needs to be done to address the Wall Street issue” and that therefore he voted to block the money because “my view of it was if you don’t add some restrictions now, you’ll never add them, and so for the next year and a half Wall Street was able to work their will on a range of things that should have been done but were never done.”

A similar sentiment was expressed by Indiana’s former Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh — who also voted with Sanders to block the TARP money. He told IBT that while he did not recall the specific 2009 vote that Clinton is citing, his state is home to a large contingent of autoworkers and that he therefore does not believe he cast a vote that was designed to deny help to the auto industry.

“My state, Indiana, is a big auto state, and I was always very strongly in favor of helping the auto companies, and I’m glad we did,” said Bayh, who has endorsed Clinton’s presidential bid. “So I would find it to be very unlikely that I cast something that at the time was perceived to be an anti-auto vote.

Hillary Clinton is a liar. It is just that simple. There was a time when I was 100% for Hillary, but I've since learned so much more about her and now I find her sickening, and all the more so because she's using her slimy dishonest tactics to stand in the way of Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders wants to help us, while Hillary Clinton just wants to be President.

is that she has been known to do this, so why is his campaign not on top of looking for this and prepping him to have a quick response to rebut her every time she pulls this (ah, but look how he voted) crap. They need to look at his vote history for everything he voted for/against and how it relates to the state he will be campaigning in just prior to votes.

she's done it twice already. Civil rights photo and auto bailout. Now she will be looking for any other opportunity she can "sound bite" her way into using. She will do this again.

Which means, a person on the receiving end needs to ready for anything, at any moment and do the best that they can. This includes doing it in front of millions of viewers in real time. It is an exasperating experience for the receiver having to deal with a play on facts, especially a person who believes in the greater good.

The real discussion needs to be, what kind of leader do we want?

how they do things. They had a good run before people learned about them and their tactics. The problem for her is that she is generally viewed as dishonest so when someone is generally viewed as one of the most honest politicians, says 'you're wrong Hillary' who are people going to believe?

Strategically placed lies. She thinks we are still living in the 'nineties when people were not aware of this despicable tactic that is destroying our democratic processes.

46. LA Times: Bernie Sanders was for the auto industry bailout before he was against it
Tue Mar 8, 2016, 05:20 PM
Mar 2016
Sanders' campaign pointed out Monday that he had voted in favor of the $14-billion "aid package." The campaign went on to say, "When that bill ran a Senate Republican roadblock, the White House turned to a separate Wall Street bailout fund for loans to the auto industry." (See what they did there? The proposed auto industry measure was an "aid package," which is good, right? The other was a "bailout," which is obviously evil.)

What the campaign failed to mention was that Sanders voted the following month with Republicans in a failed effort to cancel the second half of TARP's funding, which would have stopped the Obama administration from using $350 billion in bailout dollars. That sum had $4 billion earmarked for the auto bailout, but arguably included most of the $80 billion that ultimately was lent to the industry.

So in other words, Sanders was following in the footsteps of Kerry, who famously tried to hold himself out as an opponent of the Iraq War by noting that he'd voted against a bill to fund it -- after previously voting for the measure.

Who the hell is this so called person? Decent human beings don't conduct "purges". I'm sure makes a lot of friends in real life. Get over it. When someone lies a lot in politics and especially when they crave the most powerful throne in the world then they should have to put up with the people speaking truth to power. Censoring and silencing average citizens for speaking their minds is fascist. Take it somewhere else.

Bernie has pointed out Clinton's statements of support for the companies in India bringing contract H-1b employees to the USA and Michigan. He also should say this is why we need to see what she told Goldman-Sachs for the $675,000. How much support did she give them? After all, Goldman-Sachs probably tax deducted the "expense" and therefore we have standing to ask what did we get for either paying more taxes or getting less services as a result of the deduction.

Also, she is "currently" against TPP. However the US Chamber of Commerce has put out a message to it's membership that after the election, they are sure she will find reasons to be "currently" in favor of TPP

http://downwithtyranny.blogspot.com/2016/02/chamber-of-commerce-chief-tom-donohue.html
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-naiman/chamber-of-commerce-lobby_b_9104096.html

By the way, have you noticed most of Hillary's "wins" are in states that the Democrats have no hope of winning in the general election.
