2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJust returned from voting in Michigan
and the last primary for our little town had 175 voters. Today, when we voted: 567 so far. Off the charts. When I demanded my sticker, the guy said he had been restocked already three times today and was out again. He had been instructed to only give stickers to those who directly asked him. Love it!!! Go, Bernie!!!
On a side note, it's 66 out today and fucking gorgeous. I'm sure that helped with turnout.

(26,178 posts)I was told that the ratio of Democrats to Republicans is off the chart.
It hit 73, here! I expect the crocus and snow drops might be blooming, by the time I get back from Asheville, next week.

(19,326 posts)I think high turnout favors Bernie, at least generally speaking.
Do we know if it's mostly GOP or DEM?

(74 posts)back at the beginning of the primaries, i think the media was concerned that bad weather would discourage first-time primary voters (mostly younger, and bernie supporters).
but now that bernie's built such an enthusiastic and dedicated voter constituency, i dont think rain nor hail nor sleet nor gloom of night would keep these couriers (of true democracy), from voting (for bernie). (thanks to herodotus for the (modified) quote (which is also chiseled over the new york city post-office).)
anyway, now i think bad weather is more likely to cause older (hillary) voters to stay home.
let it rain snow sleet: bernie's army will be happily waiting on line, moving democracy forward
win or lose, bernie rules!
