2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCan I say it is weird, the discussion of MI has been the most civil I've seen GDP in a long time
Don't know if everyone is in shock, or what. But GDP had been refreshingly easy to take this past hour.

(24,411 posts)I think we are all humbled and taking nothing for granted.
MI was very close and either camp could have won/lost.
It's good for everyone to have a bit of humility.

(6,437 posts)Clintonites, including me, can no longer say sit down and accept the numbers, and Berners don't need to go to extremes to make an electability point anymore.
Who knows, maybe a truly contested primary will make everyone take a deep breath and step back from the edge.
At least I hope so, because this place was getting dark.

(31,935 posts)The media blackout (when it isn't interrupted by WaPo hit pieces), the DNCs horrible disorganization and shenanigans which always seem to end in a slim win for Hillary, the gross media over reactions to Bernie's slightest missteps, the antiDemocratic Super Delegate system....EVERYTHING connected to the establishment has been in Hillary's favor, yet Bernie is still moving forward. The people really DO have some power left. Let us never take it for granted!
