Now a Vegas resident but I'm thinking of retiring to go back to fly fishing off a canoe.

I was there on a class field trip. It was the first big city I saw outside of Jackson where my grandma took me to go shopping for school clothes.

I was there in the 70s and went back in the 90's.

Back in the 70s you stood a real chance of getting stuck by a train doing switching operations downtown. It would crawl forever at 5mph, stop, then back up. Those tracks are gone. The old Depot near the library is now a restaurant.

There are still some fantastic old homes there.

But, Bankers was the one we hung out at cuz it was walking distance. We went fishin with our dad at Baw Beese Lake a whole lot. I have been thinking a lot about my home state lately so beautiful yet it has been made unlivable by a greedy system.

Big enough for water skiing hang gliders.

Swimming meant minnows nibbling on your toes.

We don't like people who twist the truth.

We don't like obvious pandering.

And we don't like being told how we "are going to vote" !

I haven't felt this good about a primary/caucus result in Michigan,
since working like a dog to help Ted Kennedy win the caucuses in 1980,
against similar expectations...
