and that extreme income inequality is wrong. Heck, I agree with Koch on those points--don't you? (emphasis added in excerpt)

“The senator is upset with a political and economic system that is often rigged to help the privileged few at the expense of everyone else, particularly the least advantaged. He believes that we have a two-tiered society that increasingly dooms millions of our fellow citizens to lives of poverty and hopelessness,” the conservative megadonor who largely funds libertarian causes, wrote in a Washington Post op-ed that was posted on the newspaper’s website on Thursday afternoon. “He thinks many corporations seek and benefit from corporate welfare while ordinary citizens are denied opportunities and a level playing field. I agree with him.

The billionaire businessman and philanthropist said that both political parties and the business community are responsible for pushing for and enacting policies that “perpetuate a cycle of control, dependency, cronyism and poverty in the United States.”

That loyal enough for you?

And I am sick and tired of this "loyalty oath" that we are supposed to take now, because Hillary Clinton is in trouble on so many fronts--from her association with mass murderer Henry Kissinger, to her association with PNAC's Robert Kagan, the original neocon warmonger, to her association with Rahm Emmanuel and his lies and coverup of Chicago police brutality and murder.

Fri Mar 11, 2016, 12:11 AM

Loyalty is a great thing when you're being loyal to your friends, your family, your spouse.

Loyalty to a group, especially when it means completely eliminating criticism from within the group has never and will never be a good thing. It's one of the major defining characteristics of cults, dictatorships, and other authoritarian groups.

So if the best insult you've got to hurl is "Disloyal!", you should understand that people with actual principles take it as a compliment.

One is in a political party based on shared ideals, not unconditional loyalty. Once that party and its political leaders stop sharing those ideals and start peddling ideals that you don't agree with you leave that party and abandon the politician.

We are not loyal to individual politicians no matter what. I for one am only loyal to a politician if he shares my ideals, once that politician (no matter who it is) abandons those ideals I will no longer remain loyal.

Thinking that attacking Bernie for going after a very despised mayor, despised by his own party members, grass roots, and more and more of the party leaders, would hurt him.

I voted for Sanders because my state is a open primary. So um what is a loyal Democrat actually mean when my core political beliefs seem to be the FARFARFAR left of a lot of HRC supporters. Like I don't care if a (R) got into office if it meant getting a corrupt (D) out. RE is just that. He hid tapes of a cop murdering a unarmed black male. Now I would be used to arguing something like this on GOP forum but I really can't understand posts like this on DU forum. I guess Democratic party is just a name and not a set of ideals. Might as well just merge with GOP then because it seems many believe in same things.

It's could be a very different story with the AA vote in Illinois than it was on Super Tuesday.

Is fighting a fascistic enemy just as toxic as any GOPer.

Bernie knows that part of America's problem lies not only with
the GOP, but with a corporatist-leaning Democratic Party that must be re-captured back
to work for, and represent, regular working People.

The big banks and corps already have a party----I't's called the Republican Party.

We need to take back the Democratic Party from the elites and make it REAL again.

THAT is the threat Bernie represents to the Establishment.

anyone to stand up to both parties for what they are doing to our education system. It was Race to the Top and Common Core that made me switch from being a Democrat to being an Independent.

To be honest, seeing Rahm go down in flames in Chicago is second only to seeing Bernie win the Democratic nomination this year when it comes to political events that will bring me joy.

A CPS principal narrates. Rahm is not liked here. He is seen as part of the coverup of Laquan McDonald's death at the he hand of police. And he has decimated the Chicago public schools. Rahm is also a friend of out wealthy Republican governor Rauner, and Rauner's budget impasse is hurting so many people. Very sad. Neither will be reflected, in my opinion.
