But I am sure you support Clinton's rat-fucking in the last debate trying to tie Sanders to the Militiamen and the Koch brothers.

We are only loyal to Democrats if we attack Sanders but not Clinton. Gotcha!
Clinton was lying through her fucking teeth as she usually does.

(8,352 posts)Read any article. This was debunked here thoroughly.
Koch's have given money to the Clintons. Hell they help fund the DLC. They win if a Clinton or a Republican are in the White House.

(8,352 posts)correct and using it as an artful smear. But hey fuck loyalty right?
Sanders is more than right to call her out for her support of that racist POS Emmanuel.
Luminous Animal
(27,310 posts)a racist. But really and truly he is. The suppression of the video under his watch, his unwillingness to clean house as a result of the video becoming public? Yep a racist.
Now people will make an argument that he is only playing politics to keep the support of a powerful union but when the ethos of that powerful union is racist. Then yep, you are a racist.

(65,312 posts)and that extreme income inequality is wrong. Heck, I agree with Koch on those points--don't you? (emphasis added in excerpt)
The billionaire businessman and philanthropist said that both political parties and the business community are responsible for pushing for and enacting policies that perpetuate a cycle of control, dependency, cronyism and poverty in the United States.

The DSCC of course said it was a "staff error", but regardless the Kochs have supported Dem establishment candidates.
I think their "support" of Bernie is an attempt to discredit him. They know he's running a campaign against their money so the easiest thing they can do is spend their money "supporting" him, without his consent or authorization, of course.

(614 posts)bernie has a principled problem with the export/import bank; they have a nefarious problem with it. that is the agenda of their ad, using him.
and pray, on what reality might you be basing your notion that trump would beat him in a landslide? bernie has not lost to him in any polling, and beats him badder than hillary does.
just polls, i know, but find one that supports your claim.

Neither are citizen Border Watch programs as long as they remain within the law.

You also seem to have no idea about the anger these days just about all of us Chicagoans have against Rahm.

(24,010 posts)I'm 70 years old and have been volunteering for Democrats and voting for Democrats for over 50 years. Never missed an election. First campaign was for JFK in 1960, at age 16.
That loyal enough for you?
And I am sick and tired of this "loyalty oath" that we are supposed to take now, because Hillary Clinton is in trouble on so many fronts--from her association with mass murderer Henry Kissinger, to her association with PNAC's Robert Kagan, the original neocon warmonger, to her association with Rahm Emmanuel and his lies and coverup of Chicago police brutality and murder.
I will not be loyal to THAT. Sorry!

(6,785 posts)Loyalty is a great thing when you're being loyal to your friends, your family, your spouse.
Loyalty to a group, especially when it means completely eliminating criticism from within the group has never and will never be a good thing. It's one of the major defining characteristics of cults, dictatorships, and other authoritarian groups.
So if the best insult you've got to hurl is "Disloyal!", you should understand that people with actual principles take it as a compliment.
One is in a political party based on shared ideals, not unconditional loyalty. Once that party and its political leaders stop sharing those ideals and start peddling ideals that you don't agree with you leave that party and abandon the politician.
We are not loyal to individual politicians no matter what. I for one am only loyal to a politician if he shares my ideals, once that politician (no matter who it is) abandons those ideals I will no longer remain loyal.
Supporters of Clinton seem to follow her lead even when it is leading them right off a cliff. Not only does Clinton misunderstand the voting public she makes odd attack strategies. It seems her supporters like yourself have that same talent.
Thinking that attacking Bernie for going after a very despised mayor, despised by his own party members, grass roots, and more and more of the party leaders, would hurt him.
All I ask is to keep it up! It makes you look ridiculous and just plain awful at political strategy.

(525 posts)But I'm against Rahm Emanuel, and I like this. I'll let you decide if I count as loyal to the party. I'll settle for being loyal to what's right.
Gwhittey
(1,377 posts)I voted for Sanders because my state is a open primary. So um what is a loyal Democrat actually mean when my core political beliefs seem to be the FARFARFAR left of a lot of HRC supporters. Like I don't care if a (R) got into office if it meant getting a corrupt (D) out. RE is just that. He hid tapes of a cop murdering a unarmed black male. Now I would be used to arguing something like this on GOP forum but I really can't understand posts like this on DU forum. I guess Democratic party is just a name and not a set of ideals. Might as well just merge with GOP then because it seems many believe in same things.

Sure. Dems are better on social issues, but these social issues won't feed me and my family and secure a decent job and livable future, for the most part. What they really do is let of some steam from the pressure cooker!!
Now that Bernie is turning up the heat the Establishment is running like cockroaches with the lights on!!

Bernie knows that part of America's problem lies not only with
the GOP, but with a corporatist-leaning Democratic Party that must be re-captured back
to work for, and represent, regular working People.
The big banks and corps already have a party----I't's called the Republican Party.
We need to take back the Democratic Party from the elites and make it REAL again.
THAT is the threat Bernie represents to the Establishment.

(2,149 posts)A CPS principal narrates. Rahm is not liked here. He is seen as part of the coverup of Laquan McDonald's death at the he hand of police. And he has decimated the Chicago public schools. Rahm is also a friend of out wealthy Republican governor Rauner, and Rauner's budget impasse is hurting so many people. Very sad. Neither will be reflected, in my opinion.
