(8,168 posts)As if she is responsible for Bill, how crude.
She supported his crime bill and his welfare reform. She stumped for it.
Did you not hear the video where she called black youths super predators who needed to be "brought to heel"?

(8,168 posts)She was the first lady, not an elected official, for you to try to pin this on her is highly inappropriate.
She went before the American people to stump for those pieces of legislation that have devastated AA families. She made speeches advocating for those laws.
And now she says the laws were a mistake. She admits it. She says she would not use the words "super predator" now.
Your defense of her here is just silly. Nobody will buy it. The matter is common knowledge.

This is what I love about Bernie. He is truly a crusader for justice and fairness. A good reminder that he is a fair and kind person
Thank you for posting Gregorian.

(8,168 posts)We have a ridiculous number of non-violent criminals in jail in this country that often end up as permanent non-participants in society.

(6,829 posts)release them and then stop the fucking war on drugs!
Stop the madness. Get them treatment instead of prison. By simply NOT arresting more non-violent drug offenders and releasing those already in custody, Sanders can reach his goal
It would also put tremendous pressure on the state level to follow suit in places like IL where their budget is busted and having an "out" by following the federal model has bi-partisan support

(8,168 posts)I've known far too many people that have had their lives put on hold and potentially ruined simply because they prefer pot over alcohol, including at least one family member. We can't fix this soon enough IMO.
