HRC will be entitled to lecture Latin America on "dictatorship" ONLY when our nation does this:
(She could start by addressing this in her stump speech, as a past leader of the American diplomacy):
Admit wrong and apologize for every act of military and economic intervention by our government in the Americas since 1823.
And offer real compensation and restitution for all that we have done there.
Including every single incident in which our government blockaded, destabilzed or OVERTHREW an elected government in the hemisphere, or recognized any other coup against a democratic government(as, for example the U.S. did in Cuba in the mid-1950s, when we endorsed Fulgencio Batista's coup on the eve of the Cuban national elections).
It's simple.
We need to admit that we NEVER had any right to intervene in the governance of any Latin American nation. That every time we ever did intervene was indefensible. And that every intervention played a role in pushing people seeking liberation from misery and exploitation into supporting revolutionary and sometimes "anti-American" movements out of simple desperation.
She simply needs to endorse the truth of the words of John F. Kennedy:
"those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable".
