she promptly retracted that soon after. she was eulogizing nancy reagan and got it wrong . reagan did stand for stem cell research but she indeed did not for aids.

She said she misspoke but she directly talked about AIDS. It wasn't a momentary lapse in one word.

11. No way. Tonight she's trying to say she meant Alzheimers

But that makes no sense.in context. Alzheimers has never been stigmatized

“It may be hard for your viewers to remember how difficult it was for people to talk about HIV/AIDS back in the 1980s,” Mrs. Clinton, who was attending Mrs. Reagan’s funeral in Simi Valley, Calif., told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “And because of both President and Mrs. Reagan – in particular, Mrs. Reagan – we started a national conversation, when before nobody would talk about it. Nobody wanted anything to do with it

6. I'd say she was *practicing*.

She got out a little in front of herself.

Makes *complete* sense to me. She's supposed to say stuff like that *AFTER* the DEM deal is closed.

She's been parroting income and wealth inequality jargon ever since Sanders started to close the gap.

It was only a matter of time before "RW Hillary" reemerged. But she screwed up the timing.

I think she's also a bit tired at this point and a mite confused. She forgot which HRC was supposed to be at the funeral.

9. It's the last 20th century campaign

Back then you said whatever the "appropriate" thing at the time was, and 24 hours later CNN had moved on to something else, so you just had to hold off criticism for 24 hours.

In 2016 a news cycle can last as long as Twitter wants it to.

It was a horrible miscalculation, and I think it's going to cost her.

12. She was determined to use Nancy Reagan's funeral to her advantage--free attention and air time

that Bernie can't get, because after all, HE wasn't a first lady, he didn't hobnob in those WH circles. And then she overplayed her hand, created a story that just wasn't fucking true AT ALL and easily disproved. Just like the sniper fire incident. I don't know if it was a deliberate ploy for GOP votes, or a "First Ladies (like me and Nancy!) are sooooo consequential!" maneuver. It's clear she didn't give a single thought to what legions of AIDS sufferers and their families would think about this sudden revisionist history.

but would vote for Rubio, Kasich, and possibly Cruz. Obviously she wants those voters in the general.

good at federal disaster relief! And had such a restrained, thoughtful foreign policy." Dick Cheney? "He will always be remembered as a kind, warm soul." There comes a point to where picking up some votes just isn't worth the bullshit.
