Related: About this forumQ: Does accusing unknown people of racism hurt or help the desire to eliminate racism?
Does it hurt or help fixing the problems Black Americans are experiencing?
Note: This isn't a game. And if people really held the beliefs they profess they would not treat it as such.

(1,000 posts)1. Never helps
Never heard of someone becoming not-racist after being accused of racism.
What it does do is harden positions and convince everyone there is no dialogue to be had.

I'm not seeing any point of reference here.

(20,572 posts)3. it helps to stand up
against racism and hate. There will always be racists but they should not find community through a presidential candidate. People who align themselves with racists are racists. It is not OK and this country will NOT go back.
The alternative is to sit back and allow it to grow.

(10,164 posts)4. Any such accusation without convincing proof is harmful to the cause.
Any decent person so accused will likely not become racist over the slander...but they've damn sure been enormously de-motivated to actively help.
