Sen. Bernie Sanders' campaign stated on Twitter that they "will not allow the Donald Trumps of the world to divide us up," and posted a campaign ad about unifying the country.

Hours after being called a “wacko” by Donald Trump, Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders fired back Monday at the Republican front-runner, saying he was pushing “pathetic policies” designed to benefit billionaires such as himself at the expense of misguided working-class voters who support him.

When Ja’Mal Green, a prominent black activist and Bernie Sanders supporter in Chicago, saw that Donald Trump was coming to the University of Illinois-Chicago, he knew what he had to do.

“Everyone, get your tickets to this. We’re all going in!!!! ‪#‎SHUTITDOWN‬,” he posted on Facebook last week.

Little did he know, they actually would shut it down.

A Donald Trump rally in Chicago has been completely shut down by protesters, as news media and law enforcement have confirmed that Trump will not speak.


The Trump rally was scheduled to take place at The University of Illinois at Chicago’s Pavilion this Friday evening. According to Trump’s official statement, the event has only been “postponed,” but it seems unlikely that another rally will be scheduled after this outcome.


Protesters and Donald Trump critics celebrated the victory in the UIC Pavilion and on social media. The scene appears to be incredibly chaotic, as protesters and Trump supporters stand off and scream obscenities at each other, with security attempting to keep the peace.



Protesters also interrupted Trump’s rally in St. Louis earlier today for about 14 minutes. However, Trump rallies have been plagued with incidents of violence, as Trump’s supporters lash out against nonviolent protesters. At that same rally in St. Louis, a black activist named Anthony Cage was assaulted while at a Trump rally. Cage was brought to an ambulance in zip ties, but was treated and then released without charges.

There's been no shortage of rhetoric against from from every walk of life and every person running for president. The only thing unique in your OP is the picture from last night. We have no way of knowing with any certainty that all those in the protest were Sanders supporters, so your "Bernie is way ahead of you" has meaning ONLY if Sanders and his campaign organized the protest.

Considering that you are now walking it back, I would change your quote to, "Sorry to tell them but some of Sanders's supporters and other protesters are way ahead of you!"
