There is a big difference. Some people here would be wise to do the same.

(11,256 posts)His presence forced her to sharpen and refine her arguments. The numerous and high-minded debates will serve her well this fall. And yes, a push from the left didn't hurt as it helped her to realize the value of espousing progressive positions.
The exact same thing happened in 2008, only in reverse. President Obama is the first to admit that the primary made him a more formidable candidate in the general.
I'm happy to be gracious, but these sour grapes are embarrassing.

(4,387 posts)...of this primary season the "make her better", "push her left" comments have really bothered me. Why would anyone support someone who needs to be "made better" or "pushed left" when there's someone available who's already there? It's not sour grapes, it's that, for me, it plays to her consistency issues that I have a real problem with.

(11,256 posts)I firmly believe that she's a progressive at heart. I also recognize that she's highly pragmatic and tends to follow the polls when doing so means that she gets to live to fight another day.
The "make me do it" concept goes all the way back to FDR. I've made my peace with it, and so have a lot of liberals.
This article makes the point a lot better than I can do it.

But you have every reason to celebrate her victory. They were decisive.
Peace.
