2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI think Bernie's won Missouri...stay tuned for Illinois
St. Louis city came in and it was close. Not enough vote out there for Hillary to make up the 11,000 deficit.

So, still some vote out there in St. Louis City. Not enough, I think.

(44,228 posts)no way were there only 25,000 votes cast in St. Louis city.
It's now showing 100 of 222 precincts reporting. A few minutes ago it was 221 of 222.
Stay tuned.

(5,790 posts)That said shouldn't the delegate count coming out of MO be pretty even?
Same question in reverse in Illinois -- it looks to me like HRC will hang on for a narrow victory, but I have to think the delegates will be close.

(36,437 posts)Close race.
SMC22307
(8,090 posts)Hillary up by only 1.1% with 324/415 precincts reporting.
Piatt, Fayette, Effingham and Gallatin still out, according to NYT.
alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)Hillary should have won by more. The real question is McHenry Count, which still has a lot of vote to report. bernie's winning it 65-35. He could halve the deficit there.
Paulie
(8,462 posts)alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)He's down 36,000. There are still 150 precincts in Cook County that will offset that.
As soon as McHenry reports, we'll know for sure. I don't think there's enough vote to make up the deficit.
Paulie
(8,462 posts)Any news on McHenry?

(8,090 posts)Yeah, Bernie's up about 23 points. Eeenteresting...
alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)he might add another 4,000-5,000, some of which will be offset by what's left in Cook. Not nearly enough. It's the only potential sizeable margin left, which is why the thing was called.

(44,228 posts)I don' t think there are enough votes left in the 76 outstanding precincts for her to make up 2200 votes. 34 precincts in Jackson County, and 40 precincts in St. Louis County.
Right down to the wire, tho.

alcibiades_mystery
(36,437 posts)Bernie will win by about 800 votes.
SidDithers
(44,228 posts)That's ~ 300 per precinct.
40 precincts left to go is about 12,000 votes.
Similary in Jackson County. 34 precincts to go is about 10,000 votes.
Who knows?
