Where does Hillary Clinton stand on climate change and environmentalism?

"What does it matter who sits on the iron throne, when the dead rise from their graves." - The Song of Ice and Fire.

One can say that I am a single issue voter, in that I would consider voting for a Christian fundie bigot who wants to take away my pension fund and my health care if I were convinced that this person was the only candidate who is serious about protecting the environment. The reason for this is simple: I think there is a global crisis and failing to deal with it may go as far as threatening the survival of the human species. I think no other issue is as pressing as this.

So since Hillary Clinton is now the presumed nominee I would appreciate it if people could help me emotionally get behind her as a candidate for the general election. Any information concerning her record on environmental issues would be helpful.

If I remember which video I saw her discussing the issues I'll add a post with it. It was pretty detailed, but I think the web stuff hits the main points.

She loves fracking and she had no position on the Keystone pipeline until the same week that Obama came out against it. Sanders? Opposes fracking and was always against the pipeline. He feels the environment is too important to take chances or play political games with. Hillary? If her views represent the Democratic party then it's not the party I thought it was.

and offer a plan to help displaced miners. That's a sign of commitment and willingness to handle the tough issues even if it might cost her votes, and even ridicule on DU for telling miners the truth.

There is no better candidate with even the most remote chance to win. We'll be choking, frying and drowning with a GOPer.
