Interesting comment on Bernie's losses from basic Clinton supporter Steve McMahon on MSNBC

During a a post mortem on last night Democratic strategist Steve McMahon said something interesting. He he claims to be non-aligned but generally gives out conventional wisdom in favor of Clinton.

When asked why Bernie lost last night, McMahon said (slightly paraphrased) "Sanders has been largely unknown, but when he is able to spend time in a state in a one-on-one campaign, people get to know him and like him and he does well. But he was spread too thin with this round of primaries, and wasn't able to do that, and there wasn't a chance for voters to get to know him in those states."

Frustrating to hear that Bernie might have been able to win but beaten by lack of exposure.

2. And that lack of exposure was aided by the MSM's attitude towards him.

1. Trump and Bernie went after each other
2. The Chicago incident

I do not know what the precise dynamic is, but I know the Trump factor had something to do with the result. I am curious if you or anyone has further developed any thoughts on this.

It will be by default, not that she was better, but because she was so well known and most voters are too damn lazy.

Karma, as witnessed in the bush years, is bad news for the US.

her more time to campaign.

Bernie is an active Senator.

He has to schedule his campaigning around his Senatorial duties.

Hillary's husband is a former U.S. president.

This gives her international recognition as a former first lady.

Bernie does not have an internationally recognizable wife.

It was apparent from day one that the MSM was backing the Clintons.

It was apparent from day one that the DNC was backing the Clintons.

Many in the media have personal ties to the Clintons.

It is nothing short of amazing what Bernie and his supporters have accomplished.
