2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhy I can't vote for Hillary
This is just my personal opinion. I hope it doesn't result in ban since she technically isn't the democratic candidate.
The biggest issue for me is the corruption. I could overlook her moderate to conservative positions. Her flip flops and lack of trust. Her neocon positions I detest, but unfortunately the other side is even worse.
But what I can't in good conscience vote for is a person who enriches themselves at the expense of the public. I couldn't stand Romney and what his Wall Street friends did to thousands of workers, but in comparison he did not use public office to get rich. Bush inherited his money and got richer through his name/connections but he didn't quadruple his money during or after office. Clintons on the other hand have turned access into cash. I suspect the Clinton foundation is also just scam to enrich themselves and their friends.
This IMO is ultimate betrayal and one of the worst things public officials can do yet alone head of state. I hope Obama follows the Carter route vs Clinton.

(16,104 posts)I would be intolerant of malicious rightwing speculation and innuendo directed at our presumptive Democratic nominee - on a Democratic website - so I'm a fascist?
Most of what you all are describing is criminal - violations of the law - and I don't know what imaginary world you live in where Republicans wouldn't be jailing her yesterday if what you so matter-of-factly decree were real and not just fevered rightwing imaginings!

(3,660 posts)You put words in the original posters mouth.
I am a troll for the Democratic Party.
The poster didn't say anything about Trump. You're just itching for a setup into a "If you don't fear Trump and vote Hillary, then you're not a Democrat" or "If you don't vote for Hillary, you're voting for Trump" such sub-thread.

And I'm progressive, no where near Right Wing.

(10,559 posts)This level of personal attack is UNACCEPTABLE. I have alerted your slimey post.
The absolute insanity of saying "if you don't like the candidate I prefer, that means you like Trump" is Right Wing Insanity Logic.
It is divisive. It is insulting. It is UNACCEPTABLE.
A large number of people IN THIS COUNTRY (literally MILLIONS) have categorically stated a preference for NOT HILLARY - and you want to tar all of us with a "well, you must like Trump then?"
Posts like this make DU suck. You should be ashamed!
ON EDIT: Thank you, Jury! And for the record, I will be alerting on this nonsense from EITHER SIDE as per Skinner's post about keeping DU civil. I am grateful a DU jury recognized the mean spirited taunting for what it was - UNACCEPTABLE.

The one thing that really chilled my bones? Not her generally being unfit for office, her innate corruption, her repeatedly bad judgment, nor her neocon views on war. It was her cackling laugh when khadafi was assassinated. That showed the real Hillary. And it ain't a pretty sight.

(7,830 posts)But we realize loving up a corrupt, powerful, war-loving, bought & paid for republican DINO is the most acceptable way to go. The party itself is becoming DINO, so its confusing. But purple is the new black, so have fun justifying your new conservative values to yourself. Those of us who can't do that will be posting less & less here, I imagine.
