Black Americans lost half their wealth because of many of Hillary's Wall Street donors

(Note: I encourage you to facebook and tweet this post.)

Sanders: African-Americans lost half their wealth because of Wall Street collapse

Our ruling

Sanders said, "The African-American community lost half of their wealth as a result of the Wall Street collapse."

Estimates for how much wealth blacks lost from 2005 to 2009 — as a result of the housing bubble — range from 53 percent to 61 percent. African-American net worth plummeted 43 percent from 2007 to 2013 — as a result of the financial crisis.

Because the two financial crises are inseparable, we won’t quibble with Sanders’ timeline. We rate his claim True.

I would assume that he's somewhat right in that African-Americans have lagged behind in the recovery. The real issue is who do people believe can improve things for them in reality.

financial collapse is rather odd. Putting two and two together and coming up with 22 is not a legitimate argument, it's a fallacy.

I guess when you don't have an actual argument to make, this is what you must rely on. This might be why Bernie is having such a tough time winning voters, especially black ones, they see through the lack of logic and coherence in such attacks.

Since she, alone gets money from Wall Street, and since she, alone must be owing them favors, maybe in order to get those favors she will get their money back in return? She is wonder woman, the princess of evil, money grubbing, bribery, and all the economic woes of the nation. She does no one any good but she must have some kind of power over powerful people like Obama whose policies she formulated and forced him to impose them on the rest of us. Maybe, just maybe she has some influence over the power-brokers that Bernie doesn't have?

Yours is a really a bad argument in many ways. As others have pointed out, everyone lost after the financial crisis. It was Bush who did that, not Hillary. So let's put blame where it belongs: GEORGE W BUSH and the republican party.

And if we want to talk donors, why is it that Obama isn't held to the same standard or held accountable for his donors? I'll tell you why I think that is: This issue is phony, that's why. It's just another way to blame Hillary for some shit she didn't do.
