Mitt Romney loves to reference "Seinfeld" and, more specifically, his favorite character George Costanza, perhaps as an effort to show he has a sense of humor and a hip side. Because what's hipper than being obsessed with a show that was all the rage 20 years ago? Romney even quoted Constanza when he was introduced at Wednesday night's GOP debate. "As George Costanza would say: when they're applauding, stop," he said to the audience and Americans watching at home which included none other than the man behind George Costanza himself,
Jason Alexander. The "Seinfeld" actor responded to Romney's Costanza references on Twitter Thursday morning with some words of advice.
"Thrilled Gov. Romney enjoys my old character," he wrote. "I enjoyed the character he used 2 b 2. If he'd embrace that again, he'd b a great candidate."
Its a brilliant comment because it sends one message to Democrats, a second to Independents and a third to Republicans. Great answer George, er Jason.
