2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat are Clinton's strengths policy wise for the average American family?
I'm doing this for my own information. This is your chance to make me understand with all the reservations I have. What over the next term or two should she become President will improve things from my perspective? Thanks in advance.

(20,709 posts)If the average family includes union members, she's in favor of the employee free choice act which protects collective bargaining rights. She's also in favor of raising the minimum wage, which will help more than just people who earn minimum wage by exerting some upwards pressure.
She wants to boost infrastructure spending which will not only provide jobs but also make the roads and bridges safer.
On healthcare, she will provide additional incentives to states to adopt the medicare expansion, she supports adding a public option to ACA, and she wants an additional tax credit for out-of-pocket health costs.
She wants to raise revenue by increasing taxes on the wealthiest Americans and closing corporate tax loopholes.
She's in favor of debt-free college and free community college. She also wants to increase spending on early child education.

Meanwhile....her big money buddies will continue to steal from us.

Nor do I relish my chances for a peace-loving, prosperous future with comments like these.

But I may have muddied the waters here. Gives them a chance, at least in the last instance, to "shoot the messenger" rather than dealing with the message.
That's why your very simple question is actually so profound. Thank you.

(27,670 posts)wealth and power of the 1%.
This additional wealth accrued by the 1% will increase the number of jobs worldwide, and the wealth will trickle down to the 99%. Subsequently, everyone in the country will then be able to afford healthcare, and every parent will be able to send their kids to college without suffering major economic hardship, while saving enormous sums for retirement.
Hillary will maintain the status quo and ensure that there is no change that will help the 99%, which will actually make things better for the 99%, because they won't have any of those positive changes that Bernie Sanders is proposing to be afraid of anymore.
