Bernie is not dropping out. Here are the reasons why.

1. He can still win the nomination.

2, Considering the support he is getting and the money that he is raising and the fact that Hillary is still under FBI investigation, that would be crazy.

3. This is more than just a candidacy for president. This is a movement to take back our country from the oligarchy that has rigged our economy against the average American. The best way for that movement to influence the political process is to stay in the race.

It might not be enough for me. And I really don't get why there is this crapping on the youth vote... they are the ones who are going to inherit this cluster.

He's a selfish Independent with no fealty or responsibility to the Democratic Party. Because he's not a Democrat.

Bringing up the teenage years is pointless.

because you don't like it.

ON EDIT - THIS IS WRONG - LEAVING TO SHOW I WAS WRONG Your girl became a Dem because of the man she married, and not because of her personal convictions. If Bill had decided he was a Republican, she would have happily gone along with that.

ON EDIT: I was wrong about this - she started dating Bill in 1971 but switched at least two years prior - apologies!

It is easier for most reasonable people to respect Bernie for being an "Independent" because it means he is not beholden to the powers at the DNC -or- at the other side. He won his offices by himself, which is frankly only possible because Vermont is small and everyone knows him.

As for Elizabeth, she became a Dem because the purported values of the party lined up with hers/the Republicans did not. I can respect "change of heart", especially when publicly admitted.

Disclaimer: I was a STAUNCH Independent (who always voted Dem nationally) until President Barack Obama made me comfortable with being a Public Dem (officially since 2012 - woo hoo! Thank you Romney!) If Hillary gets the nomination, I will return to my Independent status.

Wishful thinking at this time. Hillary will be the Democratic Nominee. I hope Bernie sticks with the Democratic Party, going out and assisting other Progressive Democrats to win their campaign races and become active in such organizations like PDA. He had good insight, can motivate the Party.
