He has been talking about this for decades.

Not the bailout, for decades, but the system that allows this to happen.

I also like that he doesn't point fingers at individuals of the system as he knows that isn't how it works.

interest rates have to be so high, etc.

Because "How are they going to support the costs of providing an education if they don't?"

I tell them that when I was their age, New York City University, a very prestigious school, was free for City residents. That Carol Burnett tells a story of wanting to go to college, but couldn't because she didn't have enough money. And then, an anonymous neighbor dropped an envelope containing a $50 bill into her mail box and that was enough to allow her to attend UCLA.

I tell them that being an Associate Professor in a college or University used to pay enough for the Associate Professor to provide a comfortable living for his/her family, but now many have to teach at two different colleges or have another job just to barely make ends meet...

So where does all that money go if it is not going to the professors? The colleges provide the buildings and the teachers, but don't supply books (and you pay major BIG bucks for books) or school supplies of any kind. If they do provide room and board, they are charging the students for it (also BIG bucks).

When my son was in fifth grade, I went back to school to take one course that I needed. I paid $120 for a three credit hour course. Today, my son will pay $324 for a three credit hour course at the same school. Nearly triple what it was a decade before. And his professors are on starvation wages.

Only the student loan is never forgiven. Think you Senator Clinton at least you stopped it during Bills time in the WH. Too bad when she got money from those banks she voted "Yes" on it in the Senate. And people say money does not influence her.
