(18,671 posts)show up to vote this time around. Good God, we need you! That being said, I consider myself a hardcore lib - but I'm also more pragmatic than I ever imagined. I will walk through broken glass to ensure Obama has a 2nd term. I've lived too long and have seen to many things to do otherwise. He's the best that we've got. Even my anarchist hard left nephew sees this.

Please explain the meaning of "K&R." I could guess but that would be futile. Not one of you left a hint.
And while we're at it, what is "n/t?"

1. Obama Got us Out of Iraq
2. Republicans indeed protect the One Percent..It takes time for that one to get through. IT GETS THROUGH..
3. Obama tried to tax Millionaires
4. Employment has picked up, when Bush left things were getting much worse
5. Obama got Bin Laden
6. Reform of Health Insurance Helps People. More people insured..especially pre-existing conditions gone..(that matters to most)
7. Republican attempt to change Social Security and Medicare backfires...THAT GETS THOUGH TOO.
8. Republican attempt to define Obama as "big spender" fails.
9. Average worker finally realizes that All Republicans are against his interest
10. Republican freek show of primaries, debates, and candidates turns off huge majority of voters. Obama seems stable and
competent in comparison..
Bottom Line

(7,062 posts)I want him to win in a landslide too, but, damn, the man makes it hard to really get excited about him . . .
Mr. "YES, WE CAN!" became Mr. "Let me Compromise without you" . . .

(872 posts)...what I really want is for Obama to win, a progressive majority in the Senate, and a Democratic takeover of the House.

(28,769 posts)landslide. i figure it has to be that way or the "opposing side" will steal it.
Douglas Carpenter
(20,226 posts)and I am most certainly one of those left-wing critics of Obama and the Democratic Party - but I do recognize the political realities as they currently exixt...so yes it would be a very good thing for the cause of peace and progress for Obama to win in a landslide particularly if he runs as the economic populist challenging the ideology of Gordon Gecko.

(38,414 posts)Maybe at the point of voting, the vast majority of voters will just say, "those Republicans did nothing to help this economy but
obstruct...nothing, I am going to vote for a Democart for House..Maybe that will be part of the landslide..I hope..
