2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLack of enthusiasm for Bernie in Wisconsin
Yeah, the line is only four blocks long an hour before the doors open...
Bernie will be in Appleton today. Just got the pic from Crystal Dancer, who is waiting in line with three friends. Interesting that all these 60 year old (and older), white women aren't supporting Hillary.

I really hope they choke on it.

(1,235 posts)<didn't give the name of the woman, I'm assuming it's Clinton, but they may have meant Carly making her own endorsement?>, Cruz, and Walker.
But they will keep us updated ... I'm assuming that means if Trump has a shit this morning they will break in to keep us informed.

Small thing, really, but I sometimes wonder, looking at the Latest Thread page titles, if using irony or sarcasm on the titles would be deliberately used against Bernie, as in look how even DU sees him. I always hesitate before clicking, like lifting up a rock and hoping there is not a snake.

(6,896 posts)it shows the depth of their respect for the process, but I do believe it is an unprecedented level of
disrespect and vacuous issue avoidance.
who would play along with this degree of insincerity?

(14,255 posts)and Hillary's supports are so mean that it just seems like snark, but every word is meant seriously. I think that meanness was honed, or was just dragged out into the light, when she ran against Obama.

Healthcare?
Minimum wage?
Wall St. crimes and fraud?
Trade agreements?
Corrupt campaign finance system?
Education?
Criminal Justice Reform?
Any one of those topics can not be argued against Bernies position while still maintaining a facade of being FOR the people.

(24,979 posts)You're doing the right thing with this thread, obviously, but the headline being a sarcastic jab at the Bernie attackers doesn't work. We should orient these to everyone potentially reading. Many will only read the headline and not click to see what you mean. Remember all the noise currently being generated about "enthusiasm" for Clinton. Don't add to the noise, I'd say.

(53,475 posts)My friends got in the PAC at about 10:35; they got in line about 8:20 this morning.
They've got great seats and are settling in to wait for Bernie. Still no announced time of his appearance.
This is the second reddist part of Wisconsin (right on the heels of Walkersha County) but there's no question Bernie's going to turn out a crowd today.

(50,130 posts)Last week in Portland doors opened at 9:45, I got in about 11, it was scheduled to start at 1, and Bernie spoke about 1:40 after some other speakers. They played good music to stir the crowd "Bern Baby Bern" -- and the audience enthusiastically did the wave many times. Lots of excitement.

Maybe it is more of a curiosity than enthusiasm.
