1. Diversity just means you have a variety. That's literally what it means.

The more variety you have, the more diversity you have.

If you're talking about race or ethnic diversity, the most diverse places would be the places with tons of different ethnic groups.

2. I agree. My points are:

1. Our diversity data comes largely from the Census Department. If posters here think they are "doing it wrong", they should contact census.gov.

2. Much of what I am reading about on DU (I.e. Asians are basically white) is so close to hate speech that I thought the Southern Poverty Law Center might be interested in hearing about this.


I am thoroughly disgusted with DU today. And I'm thoroughly disgusted with the political campaign that is pushing these race baiting topics...again.

Which is nuts because I'm guessing they would have more to fear than anyone if you consider a lot of Muslims overlap with Asians and are constantly the targets of attacks and discrimination.

DU is turning into a right wing shit show.

The owners have rigged the juries at this point too by picking and choosing who is eligible to serve on juries, with no transparency. It's rigged. Blatantly racist and offensive material will be allowed to stay up as long as it is pro-Clinton.

(We are not going to provide any notification to members who lose their jury privileges, because under the messed-up values of primary season we think many of you would see it as some kind of badge of honor.)
