Debbie Wasserman Schultz is loathed by Democrats, yet just got a head-scratching endorsement

http://www.salon.com/2016/03/29/debbie_wasserman_schultz_is_loathed_by_democrats_yet_just_got_a_head_scratching_endorsement_by_obama_here_are_some_guesses_why/

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is loathed by Democrats, yet just got a head-scratching endorsement by Obama. Here are some guesses why

If there’s one thing that supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton agree on, it’s this: When it comes to her work as chair of the Democratic National Committee, a position she’s held since 2011, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is bad and should feel bad. Consensus holds that she’s either in the tank for Clinton, incompetent — or both.

And when it comes to her work as a member of Congress, where she’s lately distinguished herself as a strong defender of the generally odious payday loan industry, her record is even worse. She’s against pot decriminalization, against an “open” Internet, against Edward Snowden, against refusing donations from corporate lobbyists, and skeptical (at the least) of President Obama’s recent nuclear agreement with Iran.

Birds of a feather stick together. She's likely to get a place on Hillary's cabinet if we let Hillary get elected.

May be in serious need of a mental health referral. He's been a good President, he's a good Democrat, but on most issues he's never, ever been a liberal. He's a middle of the road, keep your powder dry, "Big D" Democrat.

It's customery in our 2 party system to rally behind incumbents. There is a mutual history that encourages loyalty and there is a $ factor. Primaries are considered to be a waste of resources. Another reason why the amount of money in US politics is so unhealthy.

of the House and Senate because if he did, he would not be able to support the one person that is responsible for the large losses of the Democrats in midterm elections.

Not one penny was put into red states by the DNC. But the RNC, along with the KOCH bros invested heavily.

Here in Az we lost some very close elections. The hardest one to take was in the Az Dept of Education.... just by points.

I think Hill supporters love DWS. She's on their side. It doesn't seem to matter the amount of political destruction resulting from Debbie's lack of or misplaced leadership. As long as Hill gets every advantage and wins the nomination, life is grand for Clinton supporters.

That is one of the major differences in the ideologies between Sanders and Clinton backers.

as the true enemy of what the progressive movement is trying to achieve. Bernie has shown that Republicans respond to his message as well. That's because we are falsely divided by R and D. It's a dichotomy that serves the interests of the plutocracy. The real dichotomy is between those who want to throw off the shackles of unbridled corporate power and those who enable and advance such power because they believe it may benefit them in some way. People who support Hillary are the people who enable and perpetuate this decrepit system with its corrupt establishment. Look at Arizona, the complete subversion of Democracy and not a peep from the cheer squad.

Obamas words about her DNC 'work' were not a glowing endorsement at all. just a couple kind words.

Her D opposition would make a good Congressman but here's what I think will happen.

Republicans will run someone for that district that has been D forever and another Republican will make it to Congress. Because Ds are easy to be played and will attack their own party for Republicans.
