Got into a spirited discussion on FB over lunch. This was my contribution:

"I will support the nominee, whoever she or he is. That said, I believe that Hillary is the best candidate for the way things are right now - and Bernie is the best candidate for the way things OUGHT to be. If you're prospering the way things are now, she is your perfect choice."

And even if they falsely believe they are not, they should care about others.

The current system is unsustainable. The revolution is going to either happen peacefully, or not so peacefully at some point. Obama told Wall Street that he was the only thing standing between them and the pitchforks. And then Obama stood there and shielded them for the rest of his Presidency. People are about fed up with it.

Vote for Bernie if you want change; vote for Hillary if you want MOTS (More Of The Same). Personally, I can't afford MOTS.

I and my family have been fortunate enough to be healthy and employed. We have been able to save and invest and have no mortgage, no student debt, no debt, period. We live in a working class neighborhood and have stayed in the same house for 35+ years. Yes, our investments are doing well. We have food and shelter security. But if the rest of our neighbors are one paycheck away from homelessness, how does that "enrich" us? Only Bernie seems to recognize the struggles of my neighbors.
