After the Iraq clusterfuck, the Neocon nation-building type war has gone out of fashion. This is more of a Henry Kissinger type of solution.

I don't believe Obama would support taking military action in Iran, and ALL of his top advisers - military and civilian - are opposed (as I understand it). I'm "assuming" he will do the sane thing and resist the PUBLIC and NEO-CON pressures to go in?

What the H is wrong with the majority of Americans who say, according to polling, that they want to attack Iran? This, immediately after the downturn in support for our junket in Iraq?

Honestly, I attribute these ridiculous dangerous attitudes to the defunding of public education: our populace seems to be uneducated, unaware, ignorant, and to have very poor judgment, much less memory! The rest of the world scorns these attitudes in us.

PNAC = http://www.newamericancentury.org/

"Think tank" (if you want to call it that) that dreamed up the Bush Doctrine of preemptive war. In places where oil exists, that is.
