Sanders supporters suffer through stages of griefThe New York loss demoralized some of Bernie's most impassioned backers.
By ANNIE KARNI 04/21/16 08:10 PM EDT
Bernie Sanders supporters are experiencing the five stages of grief after a devastating 16-point loss in New York Tuesday night, a drubbing that greatly narrowed the Vermont senators path moving forward.
After holding out hope, some are beginning to accept the disheartening notion that the Vermont senator is now unlikely to win the party's nomination.
It is over, Lee Stonum, an avid Sanders supporter and public defender in Orange County, California, wrote on his Facebook page after the New York results were tallied. Im a little annoyed by the tone of the emails Im now getting from the campaign that refuse to acknowledge this and claim there is still a path to the nomination. There is not.

Ah the good old days that by mistake I ended up in Bachmann's distro list, or at least I hope it was by mistake.

(154,021 posts)Then i got them throughout her final days in Congress.
But I get those from many campaigns currently, Also fund raising emails... I used to check the map... it is bad when you get the raising letters from a small town in N. Dakota... it is like... you know I am in CA right? Those I usually just send to the trash bin...

(154,021 posts)The man said he is taking to the convention. I believe him. It's math actually. Which also makes me laugh, and I usually do not trust pols, but on this one, I think he will. And my fracking election on June 7... will actually GASP, matter for far more than Prop I.
Though I admit, the R returns will be far, and I mean this, far more entertaining, due to the mechanics of that primary...

(13,340 posts)Remember that Obama did not have enough pledged delegates to outright clinch the nomination. But the convention can be said to have been contested.

(587 posts)We've already heard Sanders would have won, but for voter suppression
And how the corporate media is lying to us and Sanders is actually on track to win
And how it's not over until CA (boldly/delusionally predicting an 80/20 win for Sanders)
The thread is getting more tenuous with every passing day. Pretty soon we'll be hearing how space aliens are mind controlling voters and making them vote Clinton, or something equally laughable.

There is nothing that makes me think an HRC presidency will be much improvement over Bush.
She will give benefits to the wealthy on the backs of the rest and take us to war. What is the difference again?

New York is -one state-. This is not over yet.
(If it doesnt go Bernies way) Ill grieve then, and Ill do it how I want, not how some @sshole thinks I should! And my grief will mainly be for my country, not myself(ill do fine under Trump presidency), that we had a once in a generation chance to elect a great statesman, and stupidly chose a corporate shill like Hillary.
