(146,288 posts)Bill Clinton is a private citizen and a noted public speaker. He speaks to lots of people. I've not heard any of his speeches. So, I have no idea what he said to that company. If you can find a transcript of it, please post it and I'll read it.

I remember watching Buffett say how proud he was of the way Wells Fargo does business (this happened after the allegations had come to light).

(1,213 posts)I have had to watch this nation go downhill my entire adult life.
I had to shut off the tv so that the media wouldn't teach my toddlers about blow jobs during the first Clinton presidency.
I do not want to waste another four years talking about Clinton scandals when the economy is so screwed up for my kid's generation.
I do not want to watch the nation's wealth be wasted mindless killing other people in wars of choice.
Older clueless "i want a woman president" voters are selfishly helping this nation go further downhill.
I have children.
I care about the country we are leaving to them.

(47,141 posts)If he cannot win a primary nomination from the left and tearing the party apart for a year, there is no way he could have won the GE. His policies would have been rejected only more so across the voters at large. The only way forward is to support the Democrats fully to gain more seats in Congress and the Senate. Power to change things, requires power in the government.
Bernie made a good go of it. But his political strategy is weak by design.
BTW, scandals will be "created" as required by whatever party is out of power. Thats the way of politics.

(12,504 posts)As for the tiny student enrollment...I'd initially read about that here in DU, and didn't bother to confirm...but it was little more, 240 students
a link indicates :
The enrollment projections on which the purchase hinged proved illusory. In a July 7 statement addressing the colleges probationary accreditation status, Coralee Holm, the colleges director of community and alumni relations, wrote that the college served 290 students. Data from the National Center for Education Statistics, however, show that total enrollment for fall 2013 stood at 243 students: 220 undergraduates and 23 graduate students. Twenty-seven percent of the undergraduates were part-time. And enrollment for fall 2014 shows the student body shrinking, not expanding

Can you even imagine attempting to get into $10,000,000 (TEN MILLION DOLLAR) debt for an enrollment so small?
