Sanders Plays a Dangerous Game-Cokie Roberts and Steven V. Roberts

Bernie Sanders is playing a selfish, dangerous game.

He has no chance of winning the Democratic nomination -- none, zero, zilch. Yet he persists in attacking Hillary Clinton, and his supporters threaten to disrupt the Democratic convention in a way that can have only one effect: helping elect Donald Trump president.

Does he want that to be his legacy? Apparently he doesn't care. Sanders' ego has swelled to Trumpian proportions, and he has rejected numerous and increasingly desperate appeals from senior Democrats to recognize reality and back off.

Sanders and his wife, Jane, we are told, feel "disrespected" by party leaders and have somehow decided that Clinton and the Democrats are his real enemy, not Trump and the Republicans.

You must be joking. She's a slightly less annoying version of Anne Coulter. Has been for years.

investigated by the FBI. Sanders got those people fired up, and the response of the party's right wingers was to call them names and rig the system so that the most reviled candidate in history can get something she thinks she's entitled to. The fact that ten million Sanders supporters won't be joining the party should be a wake up call on what's wrong. Instead, as usual with cults, you blame Sanders.

"This is a center-right country. In 2012 exit polls, only 25 percent of voters identified as liberals (35 percent identified as conservatives, and 41 percent as moderates)."

Cokie Roberts, from Louisiana, thinks we're a center-right nation.

And that's according to "2012 exit polls."

So, according to Cokie and Steven Roberts, if you're on the left, you can never be president of the United States. It is not possible. It is not permissible. And you cannot have a platform for left-wing policies for the United States. You have to be on the right. (Of course, they do give cover with the worded center-right.)

Cokie and Steven Roberts support the Trans-Pacific Partnership. She even had some fight with U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Florida #09) over it. And her late brother, Thomas Hale Boggs, Jr., was a lobbyist for Patton Boggs. (Among his issues: repealing the Glass-Steagall Act.)

Cokie and Steven Roberts are neoliberals who don't give a damn about the have-nots because they're both well fed.

They are now dismissed.

and he also knows he can't win the Democratic nomination. Therefore, one can only surmise that his ego has gotten in the way of his sense.

Either that or he wasn't serious in his pledge to keep Trump out of the White House.

Her negative favorability ratings have swollen to unprecedented levels for a major party presidential candidate, her net favorability ratings continue to plunge, and she is under investigation for very serious crimes committed against our country. She should bow out gracefully while she still has the chance.

yet more evidence of left-wing extremist personality. That's typical for many.

But respect for opinions of his supporters and VT constituents will help protect him. Most of them are Democrats and they count.
