Attn: CA voters...do not accept provisional ballots if registered as NPP.....Alert

Placebo Ballots: Stealing California From Bernie Using an Old GOP Vote-Snatching Trick

01 June 16

The Best Democracy Money Can Buy: The Election Crimes Bulletin

"Alert! California poll workers have been told to give all independent voters “provisional” ballots if they want to vote in Democratic Party. That’s illegal – and will insure that Sanders voters’ ballots end up in the garbage, uncounted.

A special bulletin for California voters. And for the rest of you, how this same trickery – shifting voters to provisional ballots which are rarely counted – can steal the White House and Congress for the GOP in November.

Here’s the 411. If you’re registered as an independent voter in California, you have the right to vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary. Just ask for the ballot. But look out! Reports out of Orange County are that some poll workers have been told to give “No Party Preference” (NPP), independent voters, PROVISIONAL ballots as opposed to regular ballots.

Voter, BEWARE! Do NOT accept a PROVISIONAL BALLOT! They’re really “Placebo Ballots” – they give you the satisfaction of feeling like you’ve voted, without the inconvenience of anyone actually having to count them! "

1. An informed voter is a poor voter. Bernie's supporters should keep themselves informed

known as the Orange Wall in CA.

I asked local poll workers. They were not told that. But OC... you really have no clue

6. Well, we have the official state video stating the policy exactly as it is,
Thu Jun 2, 2016, 02:36 PM

and we have a poll worker whose training session instructors gave out bad info.

And why did she post on Bernie sites? She contacted the county and they told her they were given bad info at the training session. And the slide show does discuss crossover ballots, no matter what she says. Seems she's being a bit loose with the facts.

Human error on a very small scale. Hardly some organized, wide-spread attempt at voter disenfranchisement.

12. If the poll worker training instructors are all contrators from the same company

then you can bet that all of their instructors trained every single group of poll workers to perform that same erroneous procedure. That happens because all the instructors go through a "train-the trainers" session where all of them receive the same bad instruction from one single individual who was misinformed... and a cascading mess results. That's almost exactly what happened a decade ago in UT when I was a poll worker.

14. I worked in 2 different states as a poll worker. The cascading training process

was the same.

That poll worker did exactly what I did: read the poll worker book; discovered the discrepancy btw the book and the training and went to the top to get the authoritative answer. And then, most importantly, she got the word out. Good for her. She likely kept a lot of voters from losing their vote!

8. I put on here an actual person who was being trained in Orange County and told

to give provisional. She then called the County election official and was told she was not being told the truth.

10. Right. So the instructor screwed up. The higher-ups immediately gave her the correct info.

I applaud her for checking it out, but seriously, to imagine this is some wide-spread plot because one instructor gave bad info to 18 people is paranoid. Humans make mistakes. This mistake was caught and corrected - immediately.

BTW - I live in OC. My voter guide book states the policy exactly as it is explained in the county video. I have discussed the page in the voter guide with my son, who is an NPP. It is clearly explained. If he goes to the polls and is told he is being given a provisional ballot, he will know that is wrong. All he needs do is show the poll workers what it says in the voter guide. If they don't understand it, they call a supervisor or the county office. Simple.

The ONLY people being given a provisional ballot on June 7 with be NPP voters who say they want to vote in the CLOSED R primary. They will be told that their ballots WILL NOT be counted, but that they can fill out the provisional ballot if it makes them feel better.

So, you are wrong by saying not to accept a provisional ballot if you are NPP voter, because if you want to vote in the REPUBLICAN primary as an NPP, that is the only way you can do so - by provisional ballot...and you will be told your vote won't count.

11. Because it's not an issue, that's why.

One person gave the wrong info to a group of people. There are no other instances being reported of this happening elsewhere outside of that one training session attended by this one person. The mistake was corrected. How is this an issue?

We're not all stupid out here in CA.
