ND & SD Tribal Leaders Endorse Hillary Clinton

Tribal leaders from North Dakota and South Dakota have endorsed Hillary Clinton for president, citing her focus on the Native American community.

Chairman Mark Fox of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation said in a statement that Clinton has a proven track record of supporting initiatives that benefit Native Americans and has demonstrated a willingness to work with all minorities.

“In simplest terms, Hillary Clinton supports Native America, and it is obvious that her opponent Donald Trump does not,” Fox said. “A fact we know he will never deny or seek to change, and our indigenous peoples will remind him of his short-comings in November.”

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Chairman Harold Frazier said in a statement he believes Clinton will be a strong voice for Indian Country.

“Secretary Clinton has shown through her decades of public service her respect for tribal sovereignty and the sacred trust between the United States and our native nations,” Frazier said.

Disparaging them with racist stereotypical statements about casinos, and saying they are not leaders of "the entire tribe" does not diminish them - it diminishes you.

Your quarrel is with Hillary, and yet you choose to try diminish these leaders instead.

Just FYI, the Lakota people have always been organized by bands, not by "entire tribe."
