Minnesota Democrats vote for 'elimination or reform' of the Super Delegate system.

Early on, delegates approved a nonbinding resolution that says the state DFL (Democratic Farmer Labor) Party "supports the elimination or reform" of the "super delegates" system. The motion passed 552 to 480.

I'd like to see the Super Delegate system abolished.

I'd settle for requiring Super Delegates to vote with the plurality of Pledged Delegates on the first ballot, and then let them vote for anyone if nobody gets a majority on the first ballot.

That would be fine by me as they always pick the candidate with the most pledged delegates anyway. qdouble Jun 2016 #2

But Clinton doesn't have the majority of possible Pledged Delegates.

It really wouldn't change much if they didn't exist, but would lead to less whining.
