2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumA very truthful opinion.
I really can't stand Bernie Sanders right now.
He has become a self righteous, whining, little man. Thinking he deserves this nomination when he is losing and has LOST.
Taking this to the convention where he will egg on his supporters to do god knows what to contest a contest he has lost.
Really, he as turned into very sad, self entitled, bitter person. He doesn't give a shit about this country. If he did, he would be doing what Hillary did in 2008.
Suspend, and throughout the summer work his heart out for the winner of the Democratic Primary process and do whatever the fuck he can get his supporters to support Hillary.
You know, like Hillary did for Barack Obama in 2008.
But no, we're going to have to listen to his whining until the end of July. Where he riles up his supporters, convincing them something was stolen from him, when it was not. Repeating that he was rigged out of something.
He could have taken the high road and got his supporters to understand what a threat a Trump presidency would mean. But no, he's to busy casting insults and accusations of a rigged system... a system he has participated in himself, using the same rules. Screw him, for real.

(13,091 posts)I couldn't stand her before and I can't stand her now.
She has become self righteous and an entitled little woman. She thought
the nomination would be handed to her on a silver platter.
She doesn't give a shit about this country. If she did she would not have
ran on her deplorable record. She has proven she has poor judgment repeatedly.
She could have taken the high road, admitted her horrible mistakes, and
stayed out of the election.
Screw her, for real.
Now did your post do anything constructive ??? No !
Did my post do anything constructive ??? No !

(22,026 posts)May I ask a respectful question? If the election comes down to a choice between Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, how will you vote?
We need to get the Republicans out of office. Please vote a straight Democratic ticket.

(13,091 posts)My state does not allow write-ins.
That would have been my first choice if Hillary is the nominee.
With my choices being limited, Jill Stein looks like an option.

(36,220 posts)Come on. This was an honest truthful opinion. Of which, I thought was welcome here.
Please do not try to shame me in this way. I listened in 2008 about how bitter Hillary was and for her to drop out. What is different now, Skinner?? Ask yourself. You didn't have this same opinion then, did you? If you did, I don't recall you making it so public.
It's comparable, and we have one person now (Bernie Sanders) who is not going to suspend and go on and on about how rigged the Dems are against him. Doing nothing throughout the summer but to castigate a system and make his supporters more determined not to vote for her.
Unlike you, I think that hurts Hillary more than my little posting here on DU.

(2,280 posts)All he's doing now is helping Trump. That's it. And he's doing it anyway.

(456 posts)That's really what it all boils down to. If he was he would understand that its about the ideas and the party being in office to push for those policies. Its all about him. This fame has gone to his head. He's walking around with secrete service protection and flying around in a private jet. He doesn't want the party to end. But it will.

(13,218 posts)I started the campaign season trying to decide which would be the better president, Clinton or Sanders? The entire season has been a steady and perceptible decline in my opinion of Sanders (even though I gave him the benefit of every doubt). In the end I decided that Bernie is a con artist. His (and his supporters) most telling feature is they are unilateralists: since they are right no one else's opinions matter (thank you very much!).
