Do you think Hillary would have conceded when she did in 2008...

...if Obama were under FBI investigation?

BTW, the last primary, with no more delegates left to be won, was June 3, and she did not concede until June 7. The equivalent date this year is June 18, since the last primary is June 14.

(The situations were similar, where Obama led in pledged delegates, but did not have enough to win without counting super delegates.)

Of our nominee being indicted is foolish. It has been established that hiding your State email server in your home bathroom is a pretty severe breech of protocol at the absolute minimum...even if the Obama Justice Dept chooses not to indict, we will not hear the end of this over-the-top arrogant security disregard any time soon...

The bottom line is that neither has enough pledged delegates to be able to win without super delegates. Once you miss that threshold, strategically, does it really matter whether you miss it by 20 or 200?

At any rate, that still ignores the actual question asked in the OP. I mean, even if you want to argue that the fact that the race is not as close should push Sanders to concede more readily, there's still the argument that the fact that Hillary still has this legal thing hanging over her could justify the opposite.

You may have to return money, and maybe pay a fine, but it is unlikely (albeit not impossible) that it leads to a criminal investigation (which would not be done by the FEC itself, they would refer it to the DOJ if they came to suspect criminal activity). OTOH, an FBI investigation is, by its nature, already a criminal investigation.

but this race is not just about winning the presidency. It is about the entire corrupt US political system and everything else that is wrong and immoral in this country. I don't think a list is necessary.

In my view, THAT is the main reason he decided to run on the first place and THAT is the reason he has not quit.

The consequences of having a candidate nominated that then gets indicted would be devastating to all of us.

The media has already essentially called it and the general has begun.

However I think it's a good thing that Sanders stays on till the end.

That's one more democratic voice out there.
