2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBernie Sanders supporters...
who live near me.. . know them well.. (I have worked for Democrats and the Democratic party locally for 30 years doing what ever I could do to help get people elected.. calls, etc.. the on the ground stuff..)
And not one..not one single Sanders supporter locally has ever said that they would not vote for the Democratic nominee.. passionate about their candidate of course.. but, we have had these conversations.. and after O'Malley dropped out I was like that moderator in discussions..
And they all have said (Bernie supporters). They would vote for HRC if she was the nominee.. and every and I mean every HRC supporter has said they would vote for Bernie if he was the candidate.
And never have I seen anyone I know locally try to disparage the other candidate as to be unacceptable to other Democrats..
So knowing on a local level.. how REAL Democrats are viewing this election.. all I can say is to those who would keep on trying to destroy the other side.. you are in a social media bubble.. the real world does not work that way..

(45,319 posts)Some of DU's finest have done nothing for months but Bash at one candidate or the other. Supporting a candidate is great. Questioning them all is better. But berating supporters and baiting candidates is toxic.
The supporters, I support you. To the Bashers on both sides I think you serve Trump.
The end.

(146,284 posts)Only on DU am I finding people who claim they won't vote for Hillary if she is the nominee. Everywhere else, people tell me they'll vote for the Democratic nominee. Some prefer Hillary, while others prefer Bernie, but all have said that their vote in November goes to the Democrat.
DU isn't a representative sample, it seems.

(14,524 posts)... and won't be "brought to heel" aren't "REAL" Democrats.
I suggest you remember that next January when you're pointing fingers as to "who's to blame" for President Trump.
