2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDid Hillary make a mistake not contesting the election at the convention?
She had a much stronger case than Bernie Sanders. She actually won the overall popular vote, and came within 300 or so delegates of Obama. She could have taken to the convention, which I know was not a popular feeling among DUers at the time.
Should she have?

(5,815 posts)She simply contested the disqualified places, Michigan and Florida. She campaigned there. Obama did not, because they were disqualified, but their results were mixed in.
Obama still won the popular vote. Barely.

So this idea she was a popular vote winner who was displaced is wrong.
