2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumVote Hillary! Rest assured, the email problem is NOT an issue.
You see, it's not the private emails that were the problem (because everyone else was doing it). It was the fact that she had a private server. This is completely bogus and only raised because the first problem was refuted (just like the original witch-hunt focused on Benghazi). If private email was accepted, it makes no difference where the server was.
Hillary has been in some sort of public office most of her life now. Does anyone ever recall any issues with her handling of classified information before? And the real leaks in the past decade were not even through Hillary.
We fall into the GOP hands when we listen to their approach on trying to find issues to destroy candidates.

(42,641 posts)that you did not work Islam or Muslims into this post also.
MariaThinks
(2,495 posts)Islam seems to be your obsession. In fact, you mentioned it first in this completely unrelated thread. Very telling.
You tell others what to talk about and what to notice.
You should put me on ignore since you have no interest in enlightened conversation, and I find these dialogues to be a complete waste of my time.

MariaThinks
(2,495 posts)I'm not sure what your timelines have to do with this. Sounds like you should support Hillary because she has devoted so much to this effort, while it seems like an afterthought for Bernie.

(1,446 posts)declare...she's known she was going to run for president since she lost in 2008. Knowing how highly scrutinized everything she does will be, she would never have set up something to give her opponents fodder for more attacks. She simply wasn't aware that any of this (the emails, the server) were problems. She had people who set up and handled all of the technical logistics, and she was focused on the job of SoS.

(344 posts)Liberal group claims all of Hillary Clinton's speaking fees went to charity
http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/jun/16/occupy-democrats/liberal-group-claims-all-hillary-clintons-speaking/
Our ruling
Occupy Democrats claimed Clinton "has donated every cent she's ever earned from speaking fees to charity."
Thats a misreading of Clintons comments in 2014, when she said speaking fees at colleges and universities were donated to the Clinton Foundation.
Clintons financial disclosure form includes 51 speeches in which Clinton was compensated directly.
This claim rates False.

(1,999 posts)Yet it was a security risk for Hillary to use a private server that it's rumored might have been hacked? According to Republicans that makes sense, and it's sad to see progressives pretend it makes sense just because they want to attack Hillary.
