"...Can you tell me please who won ..."

well I do not think the poor won, those suffering to put a meal on the table, to keep the utility bills paid and a roof over their heads or to keep the medical debt collectors at bay.

The middle class has made our nation great, yet we so easily diminish their efforts and pass them by, almost as if they are not worthy of consideration. Not everyone is born with the same skills, some excel because they were born with skills and some need a little more help, we should not turn a blind eye and expect the same accomplishments from everyone.

So who won?

and she won't until at least the Convention, if she gets them at all.

Presumptive is just speculation not reality.

in that scenario, nobody wins.

Not giving up, made calls today and sent a donation, but the corporate media along with the DNC has been calling the shots for months. The majority of people will not win with the corporate backed nominees and that is a sad reflection on our nation.

the major difference is that the younger generation does not watch the corporate media channels and that presents a challenge.

Unfortunately many still do and are so enamoured with the thought of a female president instead of the right president

so happy that our daughter crossed from the dark side (Repub) to support someone on the Dem ticket, Sanders, but Hillary is a hard pill to swallow for her. She is not so inclined to go the extra step for Clinton.

always a paycheck or two away from disaster. A foreclosure. A reposession. Bill collectors calling at all hours. Bankruptcy. Stay healthy because an illness can financially destroy you even if you were a good corporate citizen and signed up for shitty high deductible, high copay, high premium for-profit worthless insurance. If you have a toothache, you'll soon discover that the dental plan you are lucky to have at all sucks too. Want your kid to go to college? Be prepared for serious sticker shock and prepare to take out loans -- lots of loans, so that your child can amass a serious amount of debt before he or she turns 21. It's the American way. Oh, and don't expect that son or daughter of yours to land a good job with benefits after graduation, because those are scarce and reserved for the well-connected. My new college graduate last year landed a low paying job at a tech outfit where employees were expected to provide their own computer and sit all day at picnic tables -- I shit you not. That's what it's come to.

The only winners are the corporations and those at the top who've arrived there by scheming, cheating, backstabbing, and whatever else would get them ahead. As the brilliant George Carlin famously opined, "It's a big club and you ain't in it."

This election does not bode well for our future.

and if anyone cares, this is also about the survival of our nation, we cannot advance without a middle class, but doubt that will happen under Clinton or Trump.

My husband has had two bone marrow transplants, more accurately stem cell transplants for acute leukemia, and we are fortunate to have insurance, but we have met several people along the way who did not have access to quality care. And I might say he is damn well lucky to be alive, fingers crossed for the future

Financially this has put a significant strain on finances, 9K plus for seven years in addition to lost wages, but we at least had a buffer because we had saved for retirement, well that has gone out the window.

One daughter, a recent MD who is fine (still over 200K in debt for med school) and a son with an IT degree, a bit more dubious prospects for the future. My Dad said it is not what you know, but who you know and that holds true in many scenarios.

The children see what is occurring, my daughter voted for a Medicare for all system when voting for Sanders and contributing to his campaign, even though her salary is based not only on a percentage of billing, but also collections.

This election has cemented the idea that we are not in the club, yet they want our vote and speak of unity

We had better get it together. The Dems have not done anything to try and sustain a middle class, lots of words, but they give in so easily and do not have the courage of their convictions, maybe they never had such strong convictions to begin with, that could be a problem.

9. I think that the Democratic Party is so corrupt that we're about
Tue Jun 7, 2016, 04:27 AM

to witness an epic unprecedented exodus of Democrats switching to Independent. If change won't come from within, it has to come from without and the millenials will lead the way.

All the calls for party unity that we're about to be inundated with, are going to fall on many deaf ears because of how Bernie and his supporters have been treated throughout the process. The younger voters in particular have no investment in the party. They just like Bernie and will feel no need to stick around if he's gone.

I'm glad your husband has received good care. I have a cousin who fought that same battle and know how tough it is. You must be so proud of your kids. The millenials are the future, and they're a great group -- smart and motivated not only to excel but to help others along the way. Gives me hope. 😊

they just believe that everyone will fall in line as we have done for decades. You are so right to point to the millennials, many do not have cable television so they are not witness to brainwashing of the corporate media and news comes via other channels.

The party means nothing to the younger generation, and I believe it should not, I have always thought it was to our detriment to blindly follow a party/team without looking at what they stood for, that leads to complacency and gosh have we witnessed that in the past decades. Come November they will not be inspired, but the Dem party does not seek inspiration rather compliance, good luck with that idea.

I fear for all those who do not have access to health care and we have witnessed the disparities up close, thanks Well I have one kid not to worry about, the second one is still finding his way, but we can only guide and hope for the best.

The younger generation gives me hope as well, we'll just need to teach them the best we can

But who cares.
We have our own little Thatcher wananbe who will have a great time knifing us all in the back.
But she broke a glass ceiling or whatever. Its too bad that the shards raining down are going to cut the hell out of us like her drift back toward the right after the convention

we were lucky to be in Bodrum, Turkey a year before a young boy washed up on shore escaping a war zone.

The bomb makers will win as they did with the IWR in 2002, exact date of the market bottom after the tech bubble.

Words mean nothing, actions tell the true story.

"If you smile at me I will understand"

OK not all smiles are genuine, but this one is

I am meeting up with a high school friend from Caracas next month whom I have not seen since 1995, graduated in '72, we met when neither of us spoke the same language, but we smiled and became friends.

Never know what a smile can do

You threw me off with the HIM assumption, but I see you also erroneously zeroing in on the socialist word.

We learned never to assume, did we not.

Ask her how socialism is working out. I hear it isn't going too well. Only policies that I liked of Sanders (As if he could have gotten anything passed. The revolution needs to show up in the mid-terms first) is free college as that will help young people have money to buy consumer goods than giving it to banks where it is wasted on $5 million CEO salaries.

Too be fair though, Clinton won't get anything done either.

but I also do not advance a woman because they are a woman.

Obama never displayed the "History Made" words and his picture to be sold for ten bucks. History will be written by others, this is just more of the "Me" campaign.

Clinton will not get very much done on that we can agree, unless the Sanders supporters help out to elect progressives, but why should they?

At some point we no longer we want to be pawns in this game, been there, done that.
