"Based on our analysis MSNBC has declared Donald Trump the winner of Tomorrow's Election"

"Bom Bom Bom Bom de Bom Bom Bom...Breaking News from MSNBC! We have an announcement!"

"We have conducted detailed statistical analysis, run all of our polls through our super dooper computers, interviewed a wide range of voters and political leaders, and can now Call It for Donald Trump as the declared winner of tomorrow's General Election."

"Although late polls are tight, our Hallowed Experts Who Know Better Than You have concluded that it is statistically impossible for Hillary Clinton to defeat Donald trump in the key states. Therefore the actual vote tomorrow has been predetermined, and you all can stay home if you have other things to do."

Followed by the media's "we can't help but do these things" mea culpas.

"We know this is unprecedented, and we Media Elites will yank our cranks arguing that we should not be calling an election before the polls open......But hey. The devil made us do it. We have decided that we cannot wait until tomorrow night after the polls have closed."

I'm sure that would go over real big among Democrats. No complaints. The press is just doing its job to report the news.

5. No they did not. They framed it as declaring her the winner.

That's a whole lot different than "Clinton has a strong lead.....etc."

But I guess the media should have declared the 2000 election before Election Day too.

We'll see how that works out in November, if there is rigging against Clinton. I expect you will be intellectually consistent.

By the way, a sports team is a small number of players. A prediction does not affect them in the same way it affects the dynamics of elections with millions of voters involved.
