Today, for the first time in my life, I voted

Last edited Tue Jun 7, 2016, 06:27 PM - Edit history (1)

FOR someone! For someone I truly believe in.

I didn't have to hold my nose and I didn't have to vote against the others. I truly voted FOR someone.

Someone who is fighting for the people. Someone who has given a voice to the people. Someone who represents the change that is coming, and that is also what I voted FOR.

I voted FOR the candidate who has shown the American people that we CAN have a voice and we CAN do it without corporate money. Bill Clinton was wrong when he embraced the DLC. It has watered down the Democratic Party to the point of being the Republican Party of the 80's. We know who that brought us, Reagan. And that is why today I voted FOR the candidate who is bringing the Democratic Party back to its roots in spite of its leadership.

FEEL THE BERN!!!

Cuz there's no lotion for it, it's gonna keep on Bernin'... this is just the beginning of something much bigger than a race between two people and I'm glad I'm a small part of it.

And I love my neighborhood. The polling place was a small room and had 7 booths in it. 1 Libertarian/Peace & Freedom Party, 1 Green Party, 1 Republican Party and 4 Democratic Party. Shows who they expect to vote for on my side of town. Wouldn't mind more Green Party booths, but so glad there is no need for more Libertarian and Republican booths.

I was whistling all the way to the polls in April to vote for Bernie! I've never been that excited
before.

For full disclosure tho: I was pretty excited to vote for Bubba after 8 years of Reagan and 4 of
Bush Sr. but we all saw how that turned out. Nothing compares to voting for someone you
totally believe in. This is only the beginning. Down with the third-wayers. We're coming after
yooooouuuuuu!

11. Yeah, I was actually happy to vote for Obama, but still didn't feel the same at all in the primary.

He was my third choice after all, so there's just never going to be the same excitement factor, and I didn't even really get what a corporate guy he was at the time.

But in the GE, I really was very excited to vote for him. Not because of his policy stances, those were still voting against the Republican, but because I voted for a black man to be POTUS. That was historic. And when he won I was elated and shed a tear. But then his centrist policies naturally followed and, well, you know. I can tell you I will not fall for that again. Hillary is a much worse candidate in terms of policy and corruption and I don't see myself ever voting for her. CA can win without me. They better just hope she doesn't turn too many people off that much.
