2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSomething is going on with Elizabeth Warren
So I am just speculating but when i got home at 730pm and turned on the TV she was on multiple channels giving a great speech.
It made me wonder if there has been some movement from the white house, the Sanders campaign and the Clinton campaign to get her on the ticket.
Then I read that Harry Reid was pushing for her on politico....
So what do you think?

(16,933 posts)but it would be a very out of the box move for Hillary. So I doubt it will happen.

(2,348 posts)She just savaged Trump and the Republicans in cold, calculated fashion. She killed them.
Sorry, but I don't see how Bernie, or any other Democrats on the list, could do that.

(10,164 posts)Marginalized in a ceremonial position as the token progressive in a corporate-friendly Administration? Oh, hell no.
Unless it really looks like the inevitable impeachment actually has a chance of being sustained in the Senate...

(8,756 posts)A key cabinet position would likely have more gravitas than VP.
The Democratic party is in rapid consolidation mode and this is good regards Trump and GOP.

President? Sure.
Secretary of the Treasury? Could be worth it.
Head of the FED? Worth consideration.
Vice President? For what, to do what? It's like having a 20 million dollar a year veteran back up quarterback in the twilight of their career.
I think the whole push is the get a liberal with juice out of the Senate and on a leash.

I'm opposed to taking any Democrat out of Congress at this point.
We need all the seats we currently hold and then some in the House and Senate.
I still think Perez, the current Secretary of Labor would be a good pick. He's very progressive.

(2,760 posts)Hillary's pollsters might be telling her that the biggest threat to her losing is not uniting the party. Warren may go a long way toward accomplishing that.

(24,689 posts)I wish she was from a one of the battleground states but regardless she could help bring the Bernie folks in. I think she is certainly on the very short list.
