Three Words That Sanders Could Say At The Convention

that could make headlines and bring the convention to its feet.

during the roll call, Make a motion that Vermont wishes to have the floor and then, per Hillary in 2008, have Sanders smile, and then shout:

"i'm with her!"

ok maybe it's four words

I hope not.

I have no doubt that Bernie will do a great job in condemning Trump.
He already has.
But he would make a mockery of a lifetime of fighting for social justice and economic equality to overtly support her.
That said, I'll understand if he does.
He's in a tricky spot.

The first POTUS to endorse a candidate under criminal investigation by his own Justice Department.

Josh Earnest told reporters during a White House press briefing that Obama was committed to keeping his hands off the investigation, trusting career investigators and prosecutors to follow evidence wherever it leads.

'That's what their responsibility is,' Earnest said. 'And that's why the president, when discussing this issue in each stage, has reiterated his commitment to this principle that any criminal investigation should be conducted independent of any sort of political interference.'

"clever" often doesn't make headlines as much as something more obvious and easy.

I remember in 2008 there was some issue about whether Lieberman was a superdelegate. On the one hand, he (like Sanders) caucused with the Democrats. On the other hand, he was re-elected by defeating the Democratic nominee. (Sanders did not defeat a Democratic nominee but there are nevertheless all the nasty posts on DU indicating that some people still consider him an "interloper" who has "crashed the party&quot .

Lieberman resolved the difficulty by endorsing McCain, which automatically deprived him of any superdelegate status he might have had.

About as far as I could stomach is something like..."Donald Trump thinks he can attract my voters and myself but I got news for you buddy, when we get the choice to tag along with you for a ride in the clown car or to work with my friend Hillary Clinton then we sir are with her".

There has to be some context and condition here otherwise it will seem fake and as knuckling under too far for accountability and legitimate push back which will be sorely needed whether you like it or lump it.

What you want has potential for high levels of cut off the nose to spite the face style blow back and even more cynicism.

Greed is not good here. People are long term testy to say the least, there is no win in Sanders coming off as fake or far worse a faker or a sheepdog. I don't think you will get the response you are hoping for unless you are hoping for helplessness, cynicism, anger, and/or complacency.

Shitting on or making a mockery of folk's hope is a dangerous thing.
